FAQs about Versid Assure™
Why is the Versid Assure™ system better than the competition?
It is the only remote monitoring solution that offers Disney SyncLink™ technology.
What does the Disney SyncLink™ technology provide?
The most secure encrypted network and communication technology.
What security assurances does the cloud-based solution provide?
The system meets all security standards including NIST, ISO2007, and US-EU Safe Harbor.
What happens when we change equipment or sensor locations?
The application provides secure reprogrammable sensor configurations.
How does that affect my operations?
It operates as a proprietary non-interfering network (no Wi-Fi, no cellular interference or traffic), which dramatically increases the sensor coverage area.
Does this technology meet FCC regulations and can it work in other countries?
Yes, it meets all FCC regulations. The system automatically searches for best channels within operating ranges from 433 to 868 to 928 MHz, which provides world-wide functionality.
Is the product simulation technology based on exacting documentation?
The Versid Assure™ product simulation technology meets or exceeds all ASHRAE standards.
How does the Versid Assure™ program differ from my existing alerts application?
Versid Assure™ is the only solution that provides intelligent alerts, messages, and reporting based on both equipment and product time and temperature analysis.
How does the solution offer such long battery life, and how do we know when a battery needs changing?
We use low energy technology and provide automatic low-battery alerts.
What happens when a new version of the product becomes available?
Versid provides an automatic update program that is included in the monitoring fee. Our customers always have the most up-to-date technology and applications.
How are you able to sell the Versid Assure™ system for the same or less than the competition?
We use the most advanced production and cloud-based methodologies that are continuously upgraded to the latest version. This provides economies of scale that we pass directly to our customers.
FAQs about Versid temperature acquisition modules
HOW ARE VERSID TEMPERATURE AcQUISITION UNITS CALIBRATED?
Each Versid temperature acquisition unit is calibrated during manufacturing and final testing with a NIST certification.
WHAT ABOUT RE-CALIBRATION?
Every Versid module is calibrated and tested to NIST standards twice prior to shipment and should, under normal usage, not need further calibration during its life. The accuracy of the unit will not change over time unless it is physically damaged. Calibration cannot be changed in the field.
WHAT IF MY TAM UNIT IS DAMAGED?
If you suspect damage has affected your temperature acquisition unit, you can verify accuracy by taking the temperature of a properly prepared ice water bath. If warranted, you can return your unit to Versid, Inc. We can provide a certificate of accuracy, testing the unit against NIST traceable standards.
WHAT CAUSES INACCURATE FOOD TEMPERATURE READINGS?
There are at least two major factors that determine the accuracy of any given temperature reading taken using a Versid module. The first factor is the accuracy of the Versid module itself. The second factor is the accuracy of the thermocouple probe that is attached to the Versid module. In almost all instances, inaccurate temperature readings are caused by a faulty or damaged thermocouple probe.
HOW DOES FACTORY CALIBRATION COMPARE TO REAL-WORLD USE?
Factory calibration is set against an "ideal" type K thermocouple standard. In the real world, very few thermocouples meet this ideal standard. You should carefully check the accuracy standard specified for the thermocouple you are using to understand its effect on the overall accuracy of your temperature readings. Contact the manufacturer of your thermocouple probe for more information regarding its accuracy specification.
